Mrs. Brenda Parks Shook, age 75, of Lithia Springs passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023. Mrs. Shook was born on August 23, 1948 in Ellijay, GA to the late Mr. Wayne J. Parks and the late Mrs. Nellie Fowler Parks. Brenda was of Baptist faith and enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two children, John Daniel Shook and Stacy Shook Thrasher. She was born on June 13, 1948, in Atlanta, GA, to Claude Warren Smith and Frances Catherine (Beall) Smith. Diane was a humble and kind-hearted soul, always seeking to serve others and give back to her community. She opened her home to several children in need by becoming a foster parent and hosted foreign exchange students, displaying her gratitude and respect for all of creation.
