Eileen Ann Cavanaugh Story of Emigrant, Montana passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was 87 years old. Born to Francis J. Cavanaugh and Anna Ryder on May 17, 1937 in Philadelphia. She was the youngest of eight in an Irish Catholic family. Only one sibling, Jean Sawyer, is still living at 98. She attended Little Flower Catholic High School without incident until that one time she skipped school to dance live on American Bandstand and would have gotten away clean were it not for wearing her school uniform on TV. Wally Freund was born on December 14, 1960, in Livingston, Montana to parents Keith and Bettie Freund. He grew up in Livingston and graduated from Park High School in 1979. Wally married his sweetheart Trish Forrest on December 22, 1984, at the Livingston Congregational Church. Wally and Trish were blessed with three sons: Andrew Forrest, Patrick Henry, and Michael Keith. Wally worked for the Park County Road Department from 1979-1992 as an equipment operator. Shirley R. Kreiger, 74, passed away June 28, 2023, in Livingston, MT. Shirley was born on February 19, 1949, in Big Timber, MT to Joseph and Yvonne "Jimmy" Collins. Eileen grew up in Big Timber, spending time working on the family ranch on Swamp Creek, and loved riding and caring for horses. Lawry "Fuzzy" Arnold was born of Maine. He grew up in the quiet, seaside town of Camden, where he usually spent time with his grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends who were all considered family. In his early years, he developed a passion for trout fishing, the outdoors, and enjoyed athletics to whom he was a student of all. In the summers of his youth he and his friends commandeered sailboats to sail to the islands off the coast of Maine. Mary Vivian (Uhl) Smith, 95, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022. She was born January 2, 1927, in Livingston at Mrs. Robinson's Hospital, the youngest of four children, to Henry J. and Erma (Sheldon) Uhl. Mary grew up in Clyde Park and received her schooling there. She worked at Working's Grocery and the Clyde Park Post Office. She married Harold E. Smith on June 22, 1943, and they made Clyde Park their home for six years before moving to Livingston. Mary worked at Pay and Save Grocery, Safeway Foods, and later for Park County as a Deputy Clerk and Recorder for 15 years before she retired. Carolyn Dutton Ridgeway, 88, peacefully passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, in Bozeman, Montana. Carolyn was born in Okmulgee, OK, on July 23, 1933. She was the youngest of six siblings born into an Irish household filled with music and laughter. When she was 24, she married William Everett Ridgeway, also from Okmulgee, and twenty days later began a new life in Beirut, Lebanon.
