It is with heartfelt sorrow that we share the news of Jacob McNare's unexpected passing on July 2, 2024. Jacob's fondness for fishing, camping, the 49ers, and his beloved dog Willow brought him immense joy throughout his life. Jacob will forever remain in the hearts of his dear mother, Bridget, and stepfather, Pat Smith; his siblings, Jessica Williams, Xavier, and Gage Smith, as well as his stepchildren, Trever, and Brad Bird. Daniel Lindsey Kinnaman, more commonly referred to as Dan, passed away on April 24, 2025, due to natural causes. Dan was a foundation of his family as husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was also a pillar of Wyoming and Rawlins as a businessman, historian, and civil servant. Dan was a Wyoming native, born in Rawlins on March 5, 1933, and, other than a short period of time during military service to serve his country in Korea and post college, lived in Wyoming and more specifically in Rawlins. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and a lifetime of caring for others with unwavering commitment. Sarah was born to Willis and Agnes (Callaghan) Schermerhorn on May 30 1934 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania into a proud Irish Catholic family, including her brothers Thomas and John. Betty Sharron Dexter, 89, of Rawlins, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born March 23, 1935, in Phoenix, AZ to parents Hughie and Frances V. Wetmore. She moved to Rawlins with her family in April 1938 when her father went to work building the Seminole Dam. Sharron joined the LDS Church in 1949 with her siblings and remained a devoted follower until her death. She began working for Rendles Drug while in high school. She graduated from Rawlins H.S. in 1953. After High School and until her marriage she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone. She later moved to Wyoming where she met and married Christopher Montoya in 1954. Lowell Lawrence Campbell, resident of Rawlins, WY passed away on January 29, 2025 at home at the age of 81. Lowell was born in Drumright, OK on January 22, 1944. He received his high school diploma from Drumright High School on May 25th, 1962. Shortly after, he joined the Navy where he served for 9 years. He held various jobs including welding for CE Natco and becoming a supervisor. He had a career as a brakeman for the railroad and obtained his CDL working jobs near home and over the road. Angie, a proud native of New Mexico, was born November 6, 1934, and had lived in Rawlins since 1961. Angie led an active and interesting life; her spunk and sparkle were impossible to miss. Angie married a Rawlins native, Dan Kinnaman, on November 15, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They became parents to three children, Dana, Andrew, and John. Benino (Ben) Sanchez died peacefully in the comfort of his home in Rawlins, Wyoming on November 14, 2024 at the age of 94. Born in Chama, Colorado to Joe and Tomacita Sanchez on October 3, 1930, the eldest of five children. Ben moved to Rawlins in 1935 and was a graduate of Rawlins High School, class of 1949. He married his high school sweetheart, Bernice Sisneros, in 1951. Ben joined the U.S. Marine Corp and fought in the Korean War. When he returned in 1954, he found employment with Patchen Roofing. Arturo 'Art' Archuleta was called to our Lord's side on Friday, March 29th, 2024. Art was born on June 4th, 1931 in Amalia, New Mexico and during his long life, our dad never lost sight of one guiding principle: love of family above all else. Art was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army from 1949-1953 as part of the 1st Cavalry Division, Heavy Mortar crew. He was a recipient of several medals; including a purple heart. He and his wife, Eugenia (Jean), would go on to have six children and live a long and loving life together until her passing on April 2nd, 2014.
