Johnny Max Hoover age 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Johnny was affectionately referred to as John by his family and friends. John was born on December 17, 1934 to the late Charles and Wilma Hoover. John was married to his loving wife Jayne for 55 years, during that time they spent 48 years living in Charlotte. John was a proud veteran, he served this country in the Air Force for 4 years. After his years in the service he became a proud graduate of NC State University and was an avid Wolfpack fan. Harvey W. Johnston, age 96, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022. Harvey was born January 31, 1926 in Mecklenburg County to the late Fred and Annie Johnston. After serving with the U.S. Navy in World War II, he attended George Washington University in 1952 and graduated from the medical program. Upon graduation, Harvey became a physician, specializing in Urology. He made house calls, treated patients without regard to their ability to pay for his medical services, taught international medical interns, and mentored young physicians.
