Vickie Funk, a longtime resident of Roy, Utah, and beloved family member, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 13, 1947, in Payson, Utah, she was the first child born to Darrell and Betty Wood. She was a kind, loving, and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Vickie attended the Peteetneet School in Payson and later graduated from Weber High School after her parents moved the family to Ogden. They were living in Roy when she met Stephen, who had recently returned from serving a mission in Mexico. They were married on June 1, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
