Faye Waldron, 98, died on August 12, 2022. She lived with her family in Berlin Heights. Faye was born in Butler County, Ohio to Bob and Jessie Gillespie and grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in music. Shortly after college Faye met Jim Waldron, and due to some skillful matchmaking by Jim's mom, they fell in love and were married in 1946. They welcomed their daughter Faye Ann in 1948, and twin sons, Bob and Bill in 1949. Faye taught at several schools in the 1940's and 50's, eventually finding a home in the 60's at Lake Elementary School in Vermilion. She launched a vocal music program full of energy and creativity. Thomas E. Zellner, 62, of Berlin Heights, passed away August 10, 2022. He was born August 15, 1959 in Sandusky, OH, and has lived in the area his entire life. Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoying hunting, camping, and fishing. He also enjoyed garage sales. He loved watching Westerns and Let's Make A Deal. Tom was witty and sarcastic at times, but was also there to help his friends. He loved his grandchildren and his pets. Gaye Marie (Perkins) Zellner, 81, born March 19th, 1941 in Sandusky, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home, in Huron, Ohio on July 26th, 2022. Gaye was always very active, even after her official retirement in 2015, from her own business, completing interior design work, mainly with wallpapering, painting, and drywall finishing; she was a regular handywoman. She was always entertaining a variety of guests with an open door (or deck) policy. She could often be found tending to her garden and landscaping, or in cooler months, sitting in her cozy greenhouse-converted she-shed.
