Joyce Marie Hays, age 88, passed away peacefully December 2021 after a long illness. She was born in 1933 in Shreveport, LA to Lucille and Lynn Gorman Powell. The only daughter amongst five boys, Lynn, Bill, Bobby and Wayne who preceded her in death and is survived by her younger brother, Charles David. She attended St. Vincent Academy 1939-1951 where she made lifelong friends. Joyce married her only love, John Dallas Hays, in June 1957. They spent most of their married life in Shreveport and Monroe, LA. John D. passed away in November 1996.
