Rita Jean Goss, 80, of Zanesville died at 12:15 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her home while under the care of hospice and her family. She was born June 25, 1944, in Lancaster, Ohio and was a member of The Church of Christ in Lancaster, Ohio. She graduated from Berne Union High School and was a 1965 graduate of Riverside White Cross School of Nursing. She worked most of her nursing career as a Nurse Educator at Cambridge State Hospital. Robert "Bob" William Sowers, 84, of Zanesville, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born March 7, 1939, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Harold L. and Antoinette Sowers. He proudly served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard. In 1960, Bob moved to Columbus, Ohio and met Lee and Lynn Ripley who welcomed him into their family. Bob was an electrician by trade, entrepreneur, and part owner of Yagco Inc. Bob also lived in California for 46 years. James (Jim) Alfred "Wally" Waymer died under hospice care at 12:44 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Oaks at Northpointe. He was born on December 17, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio to Jess and Marie (Anderson) Waymer. In 1958, at the age of 14 he moved with the family to Morgan County, Ohio where they settled on a farm north of Malta on the Muskingum River.
