Donald attended country school and graduated from Osakis High School in 1973. After high school he attended Alexandria Technical College for Carpentry and went to work for J&D Construction. Cheryl went to work for Sauk Centre Telephone Company and later she moved to the Cities and worked at Qwest Telephone Company. In 2000, Cheryl moved to Detroit Lakes as an IT Specialist for Qwest. She later worked as a PARA Professional at the public school, as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a nursing home also and the Crisis Center. Delores Gettel, the daughter of Nicholas and Bernadine (Beckermann) Roering, was born on March 7, 1925 in Spring Hill, MN. She lived on a farm near Spring Hill, before moving with her thirteen siblings and parents to a farm near Elrosa. She met Virgil Gettel in Sauk Centre, when she was rooming with Virgil's grandmother. Virgil proposed and they were united in marriage on July 8, 1947 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. To this union, five children were born, Arlene, Janet, Judy, Lavern, and Larry. He attended veterinarian school in Ames, Iowa. On January 10, 1970, Tim was united in marriage to Linda McCain at United Brethren Church in Crofton, Nebraska. Tim joined the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and was stationed at March Air Force Base in California and Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska until 1974. Clarice "Claris" Arlene Sorenson was born on December 12, 1930, in Gordon Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Arthur and Clara (Ingvalson) Sorenson, one of eleven children. She attended District 63 school in rural Osakis for eight years. Claris began her waitressing career at a restaurant in Alexandria. She also worked in Paynesville, St. Cloud, and Fargo. Upon retirement, she lived in Fargo the rest of her life. Her favorite pastime was shopping and watching TV. She had a great sense of humor and was known for her delicious chocolate brownies.
