Dr. Wesley Heber Blood passed away at home suddenly on August 7 after battling what he always referred to as his biggest chronic ailment, A.G.E.. Wes was born in Malad, Idaho on November 17, 1926, to H. Loran Blood and Marjorie Howard. He had an older brother, Howard, and two beloved younger sisters, Lois and Helen. He lived his formative years in Wisconsin and Logan. Wes graduated from Logan High School, then served in the Navy during WWII. He went to Boot Camp in San Diego with actor/dancer Gene Kelly. After Navy he enrolled in college with a football scholarship. A year later his father suddenly died and a year after that he sustained a serious knee injury and lost his scholarship. ...
