Daniel Mark Schafer, age 68, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease on December 21, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on January 13, 1956, in Marietta, Ohio, to Donald Russell Schafer and Helen Maxine (Best) Schafer. He was also deeply loved by his stepmother, Brenda Schafer Hartlage and her husband, Jim. On May 1, 1981, Dan married his beloved wife, Cynthia (Van Dyke) Schafer. Bob was born in 1938 in Gretna, Virginia, to Douglas H. Shelton and Alice J. Shelton and grew up in East Spencer, North Carolina. He graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. For forty-six years he lived in Farmville, Virginia where he first worked as a banker and then as a real estate broker. She grew up in Mobile AL, one of nine children. In 1951 she married Bill Bean, who was in the Coast Guard and stationed in Mobile. She followed him to New Jersey and Connecticut and when he retired they moved their family to Ohio, where Bill was born. Ronald Lee Hord, age 86, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 22, 2024. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the fall but had been in declining health in recent years. Ron was born to the late Robert Mason Hord and Ruth Elaine (Harvey) Hord on August 20, 1937, in Bucyrus, Ohio. He was married November 1, 1985, to Rebecca Hall (Privett) Hord, who survives.
