Mark Dee Burningham, age 67, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025 in Logan, Utah from complications of metastatic melanoma. After two decades of chronic health issues, he is finally free of pain, and his loved ones rejoice in this knowledge. Mark was born a week before Christmas on December 17, 1957 in Murray, Utah. He was the fifth of seven children born to Marilyn Miner and Kenneth Alvin Burningham. Even as a child, Mark's parents knew they could depend on him. His mother loved quiet moments rocking him and always had a soft spot for her strong son, often telling the story of how Mark stepped in to help his dad move cinder blocks as a young child. Donna Mae Gelfand passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025 in Logan, Utah, at the age of 87. Donna was a well-known and widely-published Distinguished Professor of Developmental Child Psychology at the University of Utah. Born in a tiny mill town in Washington State, as a child she attended a one-room school house. She went on to earn an undergraduate degree from Reed College and her doctorate at the age of 23 from Stanford University. In addition to her faculty role, Donna served as Department Chair of the Psychology Department at the U, and she was the first female Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, a position she held for ten years. Korin Kanip Johnson, born Frances Kristie Jones, passed away on March 16, 2025 at her home in Richmond, Utah. Korin was born on June 4th 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lela Tabbee Horrocks (deceased) and Antonio James Kanip (deceased). Carolyn Griffeth Brimhall was born on November 2, 1941, in Preston, Idaho, to Vaughn and Laurene Griffeth. She peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on March 11, 2025. Carolyn's life was filled with many accomplishments, but she only wanted to be known as "just a girl from the river bottom who loved her family." Growing up in the serene river bottom of Dayton, Idaho, Carolyn developed a deep love for her surroundings and the people in her life.
