In Rochester, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 17,2023 at age 81. After a courageous battle with cancer, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who had a passion for making places and spaces beautiful. She welcomed many friends into her home throughout her life - sharing holiday meals and Christmas cookies. We love and miss you. Predeceased by her father and mother, George and Roberta Plato and brother Donald Plato. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Douglas R. Formerly of Rome in Rochester, NY passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her husband, George Plato and son, Donald Plato. She is survived by her daughters, Jo-Ann (Doug) Smith, Shirley (William) Sutton; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. On Saturday, May 8, friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Peter's Church, 200 N. James St. Interment, private.
