Kathleen Marie Foster, 79, passed away peacefully at home in Sycamore, Illinois, on March 15, 2025, surrounded by loving family and cherished pets, Max and Lacey. Born on July 19, 1945, in DeKalb, Illinois, to Stoddard and Charlotte Allen, Kathy's life was filled with love and dedication. She married the love of her life David Foster on June 24, 1972, their love story continued until his passing in 1996. Donald R. Welch passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Born June 6, 1934, in Kentucky, the son of William Walter and Leona (Boggs) Welch. Don graduated from Washington High School in 1952 and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1955. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1959, his Masters in Science, Plant Pathology from Penn State in 1961 and his PhD in Plant Pathology from Penn State in 1963. Richard Jack Blunt, age 80 of Belvidere, IL died after a brief illness on October 22, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1942, to the late Richard A. and the late Mary (nee McIntyre) Blunt. Raised in Belvidere along with his three sisters. He enjoyed sports and did well in school without "cracking open a book." After being drafted in 1964, Richard served two years in the U.S. Army where he earned a marksmanship badge and sharpened his basketball skills. Susan Burdick-Balli of Sycamore, Illinois, died at home on November 27, 2020, with her dearest friend, Joe Balli, at her side. She was born to Robert W. Burdick and Barbara M. Burdick on May 4, 1954, in Edgerton, Wisconsin; their first child of four. Her family moved to DeKalb, Illinois, when she was in first grade.
