Lynn A. Young, age 81, of Amanda, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at home. He was born on June 7, 1943, in Lancaster, to Bernard and Freda (Snider) Young. He was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1961 where he excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track. In 2009, he was enshrined in the inaugural A-C Athletic Hall Of Fame. After attending one year at Ohio University where he played football, he chose to enlist in the United States Marine Corps where he served four years.
