Serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. He wed Lillian Jean McDaniel on November 26, 1955, in Tazewell Eugene Keck, age 88, of Monroe passed away on Thursday; February 2, 2023 under Elara Hospice Care at Seacrest Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Monroe. Eva Jane Chittum (Mason) was born on September 19, 1933 in Tazewell, Tennessee. She would pass away peacefully on Saturday; April 3, 2021 at SKLD Perrysburg, a Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in Perrysburg, Ohio at the end of a lengthy illness. Eva was the daughter of Lucy (Jennings) and Bern Mason. She grew up on the Mason farm in Lone Mountain, Tennessee. She would wed John Chittum of Tazewell, Tennessee on August 19, 1953. Ruby Beatrice (Smith) Longworth was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on April 2, 1924 from the union of Tillman Esco and Sally Leona (Meyers) Smith. She wed Charlie Longworth on April 26, 1947 at the home of a Justice of the Peace in Middlesboro and they would be blessed with two sons, eventually settling in Monroe. Ruby was employed by One Hour Martinizing as a presser for forty years before retiring in 2014 at age 90. She was very good at her job and proved impossible to replace. A parishioner of Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe, Ruby's Christian faith was of the utmost importance to her. She taught Bible School at the church and was certain to read her Bible every evening....
