She was born to the late Reverend E.H. and Lucile Dickerson Dobbins. She was the loving middle child of five sisters, the late Pastor Virginia Wright (Allen), the late Florence Phenix (Archie), the late Brenda Palmer (Johnny), and Sharon Dobbins (Mark). Darlene was married to Willie B. Greene for 60 years, this union was blessed with five beautiful children, Priscilla Martin (Darrell), the late Willie B. Roberta Lyons affectionately known as Grandma Gee, Gee, Aunt Gee and Ms. Gee, went to her heavenly home on October 28, 2022, after living 103 years. She was the last living child of Mamie Barrett and Edward Price. She was born in Huntsville TX and raised in nearby Midway and Madisonville. She moved to Galveston in her 20s, relocating to Texas City in 1948. Roberta Lyons worked at Galveston County Memorial hospital for many years, and after retirement, she opened her own home daycare. Dianna Jean Speaker, age 77, of La Marque, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Ms. Speaker is in the care of Mainland Funeral Home. Raised in Galveston she graduated from Central High School. As her family grew she relocated to LaMarque to raise her family.
