Sara Lillian (Lil) Ater Glenn died Peacefully, December 7, 2024, at Autumn Hill Assisted Living She was 98 years old. She was born in Dallas, Texas on August 2, 1926 to Lillian Westbrook Ater and Allen C. Ater. That same year, the family moved to Galveston as her father worked for the Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad Company - headquartered in Galveston. Lil graduated from Ball High School in 1944; attended the University of Texas/Austin for two years, and then graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1947. Christopher (Puppy) Jay Miller, age 70, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2024 at his home. Chris was born December 8, 1953 in Galveston, Tx. He was an avid surfer and fishing guide for Pirates Beach Marina. He is preceded in death by his parents Victor Edward (Pop) and Trudy Miller. Chris is survived by his wife Jo Clair Miller & daughter Samantha Marie Miller. Chris will be greatly missed by his family & friends.

Bert Dahl, long-time Texas City resident and beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, died July 19, 2024. He was 80. Bert was born October 18, 1943, in Houston to John Inge and Mary Louise Dahl. He was raised in Freeport. Bert devoted his career to the petrochemical industry, first at Lubrizol Corporation in Deer Park before joining his father to manage the family business, Dahl and Company. On January 19, 1987, Bert married the love of his life, Cindy. He was a fiercely loyal husband and dedicated in the support of his children and grandchildren. Dixie passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Dixie is survived by his mother Jere Hazlitt of Galveston and his sons Jason, wife Michelle and granddaughter Sidney, and Chris, wife Lissette and sons Fabian, Dylan and daughter Ashley. Dixie will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread over the family cemetery in Eureka, TX and the Texas City Dike where he spent much of his time growing up. There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Edward Lewis Auzston went home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 22, 2023.
