Thomas Joseph Bohuski Jr. died on July 26, 2023 at the age of 79, surrounded by family after several months of in-home hospice care in McFarland, Wisconsin. He battled cancer for eight years on-and-off maintaining a positive outlook and planning to see the next total solar eclipse in Carbondale, IL in April of 2024. Tom's love of the stars began as a child in Beacon Falls, CT where he spent many a night with cousins and friends in the field across from his house watching meteor showers, as well as recording astronomical counts for a volunteer-based research study. Paul James Caleb (82) departed this earth on July 7, 2023 after a short, but brave battle with adenocarcinoma. Paul was born in Dorchester, SC on September 26, 1940. Our dear sister Clare passed away from Pancreatic Cancer on May 29th, 2023. She was 66 years old. Clare was born in Madison, Wi. and graduated from West High School. She was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and had two degrees from the Univ. of Wi. in Spanish & Nursing. She was an Interpreter at Fort McCoy, during the Cuban Refugee Emigration of 1980. She was a nurse at Meriter Hospital for 26 years. She was an avid horse enthusiast and enjoyed many hours at Saddle Ridge Stables in Oregon, WI. Our beloved Dixie Lee Olson has gained her angel wings on April 13, 2023 after a long 10 year battle with Neuroendocrine cancer. Her final days were spent at home with close family. Dixie spent her winters down in Fort Myers beach, FL soaking up the sun, relaxing at the outrigger, and dancing at Wisconsin days. That was one of her favorite places to be. When it got to hot down there she would come back home to Waunakee, WI to be with her family. Her family was her number one priority. Dixie's smile, huge heart and outgoing personality is what made her one of a kind. She would walk into a room without knowing anyone and leave with a handful of life long friends.
