Ronald Brooks "Ron" Poister, 80, passed on January 21, 2025. Ron leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years Joyce, sons Paul Poister (Kristin) of Denver, Colo. and David (Sara Carney) of De Pere, Wisc, six grandchildren: Jonathan and Abby Poister of Denver and Asa, Linus, Gus and Vera Poister of De Pere. Gary Otto Frederick, age 83 of Denmark, Wisconsin; loving husband, admired family man, loyal friend, avid golfer, and woodworker peacefully passed away on August 3, 2024; following a valiant effort to recover from an infection. Gary was born on August 5, 1940, in Waseca, MN and was involved in agriculture his entire career; first on his family farm and then after graduating from Mankato State College. Gary married Connie Drews from Waseca, Minnesota on August 12, 1961. Eleanor Mercedes (Kennedy) Dickman, most recently of Green Bay, WI, passed away in her sleep in the early morning hours of March 19, 2024, after nearly 96 years of a life full of faith, love, stories, and laughter. Eleanor was born on May 28, 1928 to John and Mary Kennedy in Brooklyn, New York. It was there a young country boy from Wisconsin named Gordon Dickman swept her off her feet while serving in the Coast Guard. The two were married on September 1, 1951 and lived in many different states across the country including Connecticut, Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, and California until retiring to farm in Wisconsin after Gordon's 27 years of service. Doris (Dory) Herrmann Russell age 95 passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 7, 2023. Dory was born on October 16, 1928 to Genevieve Fuller Herrmann and Walter W. Herrmann in Green Bay WI. She graduated from Green Bay East High School and attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville Illinois. While working at the Alpine Resort in Door County WI, she met John (Jack) T. Russell. They were married in 1950 and later divorced. He preceded her in death in July 2000. Mark Edward Platz was called to his heavenly home on September 12, 2023 after having dealt with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative muscle wasting disease, his entire life. Mark's parents, Donald Platz and Nancy (Wicker) Platz and brothers Steven and Thomas were blessed by his birth on December 16, 1991 in New Berlin, WI. He came into this world with an infectious smile and an outgoing personality which he carried throughout his life. Dorothy was born to John Lawrence and Dorothy Ann (Patocka) Vasichek, on March 28, 1936, in Lawton, North Dakota. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Washington in 1954. In 1957, she received her degree in nursing from the Sisters of St. Joseph's Nursing School of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Dorothy practiced nursing at Notre Dame Hospital, San Francisco, California, and later returned to Sisters of St. Joseph's Nursing School as a clinical instructor. Donald Paul "Don" Pierce, age 88, of De Pere, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020. His wife, Rita Pierce, joined him in heaven on January 7, 2024 at the age of 91. The couple was married on June 21, 1952 and together celebrated almost 68 years of marriage together. Don and Rita will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 453 W Hudson St, Mondovi, WI, at 11:00am. A visitation will be held from 10:30am until the time of mass. They will be buried together in the church cemetery following mass.
