Wilkens, Rodney Porter of Mound, MN died peacefully on March 25, 2025, at the age of 76. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Carla (Meacham) Wilkens, his brother Sherman and his sister Holly Wilkens. Rodney was raised in Hopkins, MN and attended Hopkins High School and the University of Minnesota. He lived in Mound for 50 years. Lilyana was a beacon of sunshine who only wanted to help others. Her smile was infectious and her giving nature and generous spirit was felt by all around her. Lily was the heartbeat of the family. Gerald (Jerry) Steelman died peacefully at home surrounded by family in Minnetonka, MN on January 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Jerry was born on June 2, 1938, to Julius (Enoch) and Ann (Allie) Steelman. He lived with his family in Hopkins MN, graduating from Hopkins High school in 1956. It is with profound sadness that we let you know that Evan Schmidt passed away unexpectedly on Saturday night, 2/17. He took his own life. Evan was an involved student at Mound Westonka High School. He enjoyed playing soccer and playing Saxophone in Westonka Bands. He was a compassionate caretaker for his classmates, bandmates, fellow soccer players (as a captain), friends, and family members.
