Marvel Mary Fonder passed away July 15, 2020 at Monument Health Long Term Care Center in Sturgis, South Dakota. She was born in Peever, SD to Merville and Elinor (Corky) Nigg. She grew up in rural Roberts County where she met the love of her life, Floyd Fonder. They were united in marriage on December 26, 1950 in Browns Valley, Minnesota. To this union six children were born, Loretta Rear of Maui, Hawaii, Kim (Tammy) Fonder of Wakpala, SD, Kathy Fonder of Black Hawk, SD, Linda (Delray) Richards of Pierre, SD, Karin (Dave) Tyler of Lead, SD, Roxy (Bill) Boyer of Sturgis, SD and one exceptional granddaughter who she often called her daughter, Lorie Rear.
