Frederic N. "Fritz" Corey ,92 of Davis, WV, passed away on Wednesday July 6, 2022, at his home. He was born December 26, 1929, in Toledo, OH, a son of the late James Leslie DeWitt Corey and Norma Louise (Muth) Corey. Fritz attended grade schools in Maumee, OH, and Alliance, OH, graduating from Alliance High School in 1947. He matriculated at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, and graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1951. He worked for the Boeing Airplane Co. in Seattle, WA, and then entered the US Army Corps of Engineers and served in Korea from 1952 to 1954. Sue Rasmussen, 66, of Gormania, WV, passed away March 17, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 10, 1955, in Painesville, Ohio, a daughter to the late George Albert and Doris Jean (Wooten) Rasmussen. Sue was a graduate of Fairport Harding High School. She retired from Team One Automotive where she worked in the parts department. She enjoyed reading, hiking, gardening and working in her flowerbeds. Left to cherish her memories is the love of her life, Leonard Wade Shaffer, Jr., whom she married on October 28, 1988 in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Steven H. Cooper, Sr., 71, of Dryfork, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2021 doing what he loved, farming (on the farm that he dearly loved). Born in Harman on June 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Fred and Lectie Cooper. Steve was a graduate of Harman High School and was a member of the Dryfork Assembly of God Church. He retired from the ski industry several years ago to be a full-time farmer. Charles Timothy Vester, a true southern gentleman, passed away in Davis, WV on December 20, 2020. He was born in Rocky Mount, NC on January 17, 1955, to Hassle and Opal Knight Vester. He graduated from Rocky Mount Senior High and attended UNC- Chapel Hill where he majored in accounting. Charles was a true southern gentleman and will forever be remembered by his kindness to all, his love of UNC, and most for his love of family and friends. He always said, he wanted the great beach music song, "Be young, be foolish, be happy," by the Tams, played at his funeral. So, think of him often whenever you hear this song.
