Betty Lee Sheets, of Great Falls, VA, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2023 at the age of 90. Betty was born on January 1, 1933, in Lovettsville, VA, to the late Louis and Mabel Croson. In her early 20's, she moved to Arlington, VA to work for C&P Telephone. Walking home from work one day, she met a young man, which lead to a lifelong romance. She soon after married Russell Sheets, her husband of 68 years. Russell and Betty moved to Great Falls, VA in the 1960's to begin their family of 4 children. Betty was the ultimate homemaker. Immigrating to the United States in April 1971, Hartoun continued his trade and operated Arthur's Shoe Repair in Leesburg, VA, where he worked solo until the age of 80. He passed away on May 28, 2020 at the age of 93 of complications from COVID-19 while living in Sykesville, MD.
