Funeral services for Mr. Verna Lee Lunsford, 93, of Mt. Enterprise, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Garrison Funeral Home, with Bro. Kyle Lee officiating. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Joyce L. Wingate, of Plano, TX on March 27, 2026, at the age of 84. Joyce was born on July 4, 1941, in Garrison, Texas to parents Grady Gibson McGuire and Georgia Lavinie (Wells) McGuire. Joyce was a long-time resident of Nacogdoches and Garrison, until moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area several years ago to be closer to her daughter. Demple was born on July 13th,1935 in Garrison, Texas in her family's home with her parents, William and Meriam Harris. Since her mother, Meriam Harris (Beckham) was not expecting twins, she asked the doctor for help in naming the girls and he suggested Dot and Demple. And so it was- Dot Anyce and Demple Claryce were welcomed into the world! Lynn Patrick Wood, otherwise known as "Woody", was born on January 22, 1948, in San Augustine, TX to Ewel Thomas Wood and Marjorie Kathryn (Wells) Wood. He passed from this world peacefully on April 2, 2025, in Tyler, TX after a prolonged illness. Lynn graduated from Silsbee High School in 1966, then promptly left to join the United States Air Force. He served four years, including deployment to Vietnam, before returning to attend Stephen F. Austin State University in 1970. At SFA, he studied forestry, joined the Sylvans, and met the love of his life, Janna. Ultimately, Woody decided college wasn't for him, and he rejoined the Air Force in 1973.
