Lynn Patrick Wood, otherwise known as "Woody", was born on January 22, 1948, in San Augustine, TX to Ewel Thomas Wood and Marjorie Kathryn (Wells) Wood. He passed from this world peacefully on April 2, 2025, in Tyler, TX after a prolonged illness. Lynn graduated from Silsbee High School in 1966, then promptly left to join the United States Air Force. He served four years, including deployment to Vietnam, before returning to attend Stephen F. Austin State University in 1970. At SFA, he studied forestry, joined the Sylvans, and met the love of his life, Janna. Ultimately, Woody decided college wasn't for him, and he rejoined the Air Force in 1973. Funeral services for Buddy Reneau, 80, of Garrison were held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Clint Williams and Bobby Smith officiating. Interment followed at Holly Springs Cemetery. Mr. Reneau passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Garrison. Mary Jean Kimbrough Tidwell, a beautiful soul who loved and was loved deeply, went peacefully to the Lord on December 18, 2022 at the age of 86 at the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1936 in Garrison, Texas to Murvil T. Kimbrough and Mattie Lynn Teer Kimbrough, who both predeceased her.
