Ida Heckard Moyer, passed away peacefully on December 3rd. She was loved and surrounded by friends and family through the end. The daughter of the late Reverend William Heckard and Addie Lee Heckard. She was raised in Randolph County, North Carolina. She retired and spent the last three years in Sunset Beach, NC making a lasting impression in a short amount of time. She was preceded in death by her late husband of over 40 years, Robert Henry Moyer (Bob) and by her brother Martin Heckard. Hugh was born in Saskatchewan on August 17, 1930 to Samual Richard & Frances Clark McCullough. He moved to the U.S. with his mother when he was 9 years old. He later became a naturalized US citizen and, when eligible, joined the US Army. George Vincent Heath, age 85, of Calabash, NC, died peacefully at home on October 21, 2023. George was raised in Morrisville, PA, and lived in Yardville, NJ, for many years until retiring to North Carolina. An Army veteran, George was a letter carrier for 31 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Princeton and Plainsboro, NJ.
