John Boyd Kimball, 77, passed away at hunting camp doing what he loved most. Saturday October 14, 2023 John took his last sun rise picture and said he was having a great day. He was surrounded by his son, Mike, grandson, Rhett, a close family friend and his daughter. We will have a Celebration of Life for John at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carey Ward, Carey, Idaho. It is with great sorrow we announce the death of John Russell Weston, Jr. He was born September 23, 1936 to John Russell Weston and Thelma Ozula Stoddard in Pocatello, Idaho. He grew up during hard times at the end of the depression and the beginning of WWII. It made for tight times. He started out picking nightcrawlers for a penny a piece. At nine he was cleaning showers at the Y.M.C.A. and later teaching swimming. At 14 he started with Albertson's in the ice cream department. Then at 16 he landed a job at Terrell's Shoe Store. While in Jr. High he met the love of his life Persis Alice Dixon, and after going together through high school, they were married and sealed in the Idaho Falls...

On March 14, 2023, the Honorable Thomas Harold "Borg" Borresen of Jerome, Idaho, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and pillar of his community passed away at the age of 73. Leland "Lee" Francis Morrow, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 10, 2023. Lee was born October 1, 1934 in Vancouver, Washington, the youngest child of Leland and Agnes Morrow. He grew up and attended schools in Vancouver, and attended the University of Washington, graduating in chemical engineering. He married Shirley June (Storie) Morrow shortly after graduation and he then accepted a job at INEL in 1958. They moved to Idaho Falls and quickly made many lifelong friends. Lee was an active member of the community and a prolific volunteer. He was instrumental in starting the volunteer National Ski Patrol at Kelly Canyon and Grand Targhee ski areas. Margurite Mary Rieth lived a vibrant and full 95-years of life. Her Lord and Savior called her home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was born September 3, 1927, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Nicholas and Maria del Rosario Hernandez. She and twin sister, Mary, were born early, but Margurite was the smaller twin weighing only 3 lbs. She didn't nurse or eat the first 24 hours; her parents were told she wouldn't make it. However, Margurite's personality was a feisty, spunky little fighter and her dad had a unique determination for his little girl's wellbeing. Eugene Philip Swenson, 87, of Hagerman went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2022. Gene was born March 30, 1934, in Firth, Idaho to parents, Philip and Edith Swenson. Gene grew up in Firth where his love for farming started with him helping his father on their family farm with his four brothers and two sisters. He went out on his own to farm in Firth, Mountain Home, and Hagerman. He was passionate about the farming community. Gene married the love of his life, Marilyn McFee, on November 20, 1953. Freddie Lee Beguhl, age 86, of Jerome, died on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at St. Luke's hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho due to complications with Covid. He was born September 14, 1935 to Herman Carl Beguhl and Mary Edith Smith in Caldwell. Fred graduated from Caldwell High School, class of 1952. In 1953, he married his grade-school sweetheart, Alberta, at the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary last August. Fred worked on the Boise Project Board of Control and for Home Dairies, including playing on their softball team. Loren K. "Joe" Skaug, age 80, passed away on June 16, 2021, due to complications from surgery and heart attack. He was born on June 5, 1941, to Rev. Merrill C. and Ruby M. Skaug in Tacoma, Washington. After the age of two, Skaug enjoyed the remainder of his life in Idaho, spending his early years in Sandpoint and Harrison, Idaho. At age 12, the family moved to Eagle, Idaho where he lived until age 20. Skaug attended jr. high in Eagle and high school at Meridian where he competed in basketball and track. She was from Battleground, Washington where she attended high school and went to Clark College majoring in accounting. She was the middle child of Dillard and Ellen Storie.
