Eva M. (Rebholz) Strohmenger, age 87, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at home. She was born on June 9, 1936 to William and Susan (Kaiser) Rebholz in Columbus. Eva united in marriage with Donald Strohmenger on September 8, 1956 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. Eva farmed with her husband as well as being a daycare provider. She was a member of St. Ann's Society and Catholic Order of Foresters, as she was rooted in her faith. Eva fostered babies and enjoyed spending time with family, her prayer group, and friends. Lyle F. Suchomel, age 89, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023. Lyle was born on April 13, 1934 in Sun Prairie, the son of Emil and Anna (Duschack) Suchomel. On June 28, 1958, he was married to Dorothy Mae Jesberger at the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church. In 1960, he started his lifelong career with United States Postal Service as a clerk in the Sun Prairie office. He was a letter carrier from 1960 to 1979, and assumed superintendent duties in 1980. He served as officer-in-charge at post offices in Waunakee, Portage and Baraboo. He was named Postmaster at the Waterloo office in 1987, where he retired in 1992. Fred E. Ross, age 91 Passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital. He was born on April 17, 1932 to Edward and Goldie (Erickson) Ross from Poynette. He graduated from Poynette High School in 1950. On November 15, 1952 he married Janet Eulberg of Portage. He served his country in the US Airforce as a radio operator on a C119 cargo plane from 1952-1956. Joyce B. McGovern, age 96, died on Friday, October 20th, 2023. She was born at St Mary's Hospital in Madison on March 25, 1927 to Edward and Bertha Strasburg. She spent her youth between Lake Mills and Marshall WI. Since she was a young child she was a vocal soloist performing at many events. She later graduated as salutatorian from Marshall High School class of 1945 and at the ceremony she sang and played the piano. Upon graduation she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
