On Monday, January 23rd, Steve Decker passed away after a long struggle with Liver disease. He was sixty-seven years old. Born to Willis Whitfield Decker Jr and Dorothy Christine Decker of Marietta, Steve grew up in the Smyrna area and graduated from Campbell High School. He is survived by his older brother Robert Decker and his wife Bonnie of Kennesaw, older sister Leah and Rich Ashman of Savannah, and younger brother Terry Decker and his wife Sherry of Dallas, GA. Kathleen Klarer Mohan April 12, 1931-March 30, 2022 Kathie passed away on March 30, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She lived her life never wavering from her true compass, guided by her devout Catholic faith. Kathie was happiest when she was directly helping those most in need. She was a tireless volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul Society well into her late 80s where she helped struggling families and single mothers to get back on their feet. She loved to join her friends from St. Andrews parish feeding the homeless in downtown Atlanta. Irma Juanita Henson Pelt, 95, passed away on January 17, 2022 of pneumonia at Wellstar Tranquility hospice. Irma Juanita (Nita) was born in Griffin, GA on June 22, 1926. She married on May 16, 1942 before her husband, Jerome, entered into World War II. After the war, Jerome was employed by Ft. Gordon and Augusta became home. She lived here until September 2013, when she moved to Marietta, GA.
