She was born in Brook, IN, June 29,1941, the daughter of Herman and Ardis (Beagley) Schuette. Beverly (Bev) graduated from Brook high school with the class of 1959, subsequently attending flight attendant school in Minneapolis, but then taking an administrative job at Honeywell, where she met her husband Gile Bixby. On Jan 27, 1965, Beverly (Schuette) and Gile were married in Brook, IN at her parent's home. James Edward Spruill Sr. of Greenville NC passed away on October 8, 2024. Born in Williamston, NC, he was the son of Mary Spruill Everett. James was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years where he served in many capacities. He was a graduate of E.J. Hayes High School, Williamston NC, class of 1959. James was a long-time resident of Stamford, CT where he worked and raised his family. He retired from the Aquarion Water Company after working there for many years.

She was born in Beaufort County on December 26, 1930 to Leon and Bertha Taylor, but resided in Pitt County for most of her life. He is preceded in death by his father, William Jonas Brann and his mother, Mary Seamster Brann.
