It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Catherine "Kitty" Choy. Kitty passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family. Kitty, as she was known to her friends and family, was a beloved former school teacher and an extraordinary source of energy and love for her family and friends. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, she attended the University of Hawaii and earned her degree from the University of Delaware's Teaching College. Beverly Soi Wan Wong, 97, of Honolulu, passed away on February 16, 2025, at her home. She was born in Sam Heung (Oo Syak), China. She is Predeceased by her husband, Clyde, and survived by her children; Gwendolyn (Michael) Isokane and Timothy (Lisa) Wong; two grandsons, Ryan (Cate), Ross, and great-grand-daughter (Abigail). She is also predeceased by her sister, Myra, and is survived by her brothers, Joseph (Kathleen), Gilbert (Madeline), and Stephen. Visitation and memorial service is from 9:00-11:00 am, followed by a luncheon on Thursday, April 17,2025, at Diamond Head Mortuary and Memorial Park. A private inurnment ceremony will be held in the afternoon at 12:30 pm.

Aileen K. Char passed on her 100th birthday, February 12, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Aileen graduated from Punahou School, and earned a B.A. (Skidmore College) and an M.A. (History, UH Manoa). Aileen was wife to Kenneth F.C. Char, an executive with Aloha Airlines and the Hawaii Visitors Bureau, who predeceased her. She is survived by her children Andrew (Linette), Robert (Valerie), James (Bonnie), Clifford (Nancy), and Susan (Miles); seven grandchildren: Jessica, Cody, Kenneth, Jared, Sydney, Cedric, and Derek; and great-grand daughter Fiona. Wilfred Tetsuo Ogomori Age 94, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on February 5, 2025. He was a Pharmacist/ Store Manager at Longs Drugs. Survived by wife, Mae F. Stephen Akira Odo, 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on the evening of January 16, 2025. Stephen was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 11, 1946, to parents Teruo and Doris Odo (predeceased). Fillmore Kang, 87, died Nov. 7, 2020, following a period of declining health. The former Hawaii Kai and Pauoa resident is retired from the U.S. Postal Service and earlier was a dispatcher at Lockheed Aircraft. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, assigned to Nawiliwili Harbor, Kauai, following basic training at Connecticut and graduation from McKinley High School, Honolulu. Mr. Kang is survived by son Donald Stanley Kang of Aiea and sister Susan Kang Sunderland of Honolulu. Private service held at Diamond Head Memorial Park, where he now rests with his wife, Constance Chun Kang, in Garden of Flowers-Orchid, Ewa AA-5. Family respectfully requests no cards or flowers.

Dennis served many years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, attaining the title of Resident Engineer of the Honolulu District until 2010 and Chief of Construction for the San Francisco District from 2010 to 2013, before returning to Honolulu and retiring in 2014. During his career with the Corps, he not only worked locally here in Hawaii, but also completed overseas assignments in Germany and Japan. He also participated in hurricane relief work with FEMA in Guam and in the War on Terror in Iraq. During his time at St. Louis high School and the University of Hawaii, his outgoing personality helped him make many lifelong friends, a trait that translated well into his career and success...
