Nester Ilot Chiglo passed away on September 28, 2024, at Claddagh Senior Living in Caledonia, Minnesota. Nester was born at home on July 20, 1932, to Peter Sr. and Myrtle Sveen Chiglo. He was baptized and confirmed at the Whalan Lutheran Church. He started school in the Whalan, MN public school and went to high school in Lanesboro, MN. Nester started working at various regional railroad companies until he was 20 years old and was drafted into the United States Army in 1952. Curt was born on April 21,1935, to Ewald and Edna Schroeder at their home in rural Caledonia. He attended Caledonia Public Schools where he participated in basketball, football and FFA. He was the first President of the FFA Chapter beginning in 1952. Curtis began his lifelong farming career at a young age due to the early death of his father. Karl Joseph Hendel passed away Friday, September 6th at the age of 62. Karl was born on June 22, 1962, in Caledonia, MN, to George and Mary Jane (Huesmann) Hendel. He grew up on the family's dairy, Hendel Farms, and was a true farm kid who loved all things farming, along with dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and cars as he grew older. Lloyd Lee Swalve born in Buffalo Center, Iowa June 14, 1946, died peacefully at the Gundersen Care Center in Harmony, MN. on June 25, 2024. Lloyd was the fifth of six sons born to George and Gesina (Janssen) Swalve. Lloyd graduated from Wells-Easton High School, Wells MN. in 1964.
