Eddy Arnold Awbery 76, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home, with his wife by his side. Eddy was born June 6, 1949, in Lewistown, the son of George E. and Lillian M. (Hartford) Awbery. He attended school in Lewistown and then moved to Great Falls, where he was part of the first graduating class from C.M. Russell High School. He then entered the U.S. Army, serving 3 years, then served 6 years in the Montana Army National Guard. He worked various jobs, settling in Jordan and working as a bartender in his sister's bar. Vera M. McGuire 94, of Lewistown, died Wednesday evening, December 24, 2025 in Valle Vista of natural causes. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 17th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place, committal will be in the Lewistown City Cemetery. Paulson 71 of Lewistown and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away under the excellent care of Hospice on Saturday December 6th, 2025 at Caslin Living Center in Lewistown with her two cousins Jon and Jody by her side. She was born October 18, 1954 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Charles L. and Dorthy L. (Canniff) Paulson. She received her education in Grand Forks and then began working in the banking industry until her health forced her to retire. She was born on September 30, 1954, in Lewistown, Montana, to Rulon and Agnes (Spek) Abbott. Peggy attended Jasperson School on Flatwillow and Lewis and Clark Elementary in Lewistown, ultimately graduating from Grass Range High School in 1972. She was born on December 5, 1935, in Great Falls, the daughter of Fritz and Henrietta (Zyp) Johnson. The family moved to Stanford where she received her education, graduating from Stanford High School in 1953. She then worked at Basin State Bank in Stanford until her marriage to Keith Stout on September 12, 1954 in Stanford. They lived at Arrow Creek to work with his parents on the farm and then to Coffee Creek in 1957 where he worked for the GTA Elevator. Margaret Gustavson Smith was born August 5, 1924 in Kansas City, MO. Her parents were Hulda Pettersson-Gustavson and Gustav Gustavson. In 1935, the family moved back to Sweden and Margaret and her brother, Harry, finished their education in Karlsborg, Sweden. (Because of this, Margaret was multilingual. She was fluent in Swedish and English and she could also speak German and French.) A sister, Britta, was born in 1935. Gordon (Gordy) Leo Kaufman died peacefully at his home on September 4. He was born May 18, 1941 in Moccasin, the first son of Clarence and Marie (Slivka) Kaufman. Gordy graduated from Moccasin High School in 1959, and was united in marriage to Irene "Kay" Ellis on April 14, 1960. Together they shared a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion.
