Sean E. McGuire, 46, of Westhampton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 14, 2021 at his home. He was born in Northampton on February 7, 1975 to the late Herbert McGuire and to Sandra (Fournier) McGuire of Easthampton.
He was educated in Northampton schools and was a graduate of Northampton High School class of 1994. It was there, where he excelled both in academics and the football team. Sean worked as the Deli Manager of Cooper's Corner in Florence since March of 2015, where he enjoyed working behind the grill, meeting and greeting on cookout days in the warmer weather, as much as being creative with new menu items, talking with regulars, and always providing a good laugh.
Sean was a fabulous cook; he relished in making meals for everyone to enjoy and nobody ever went away hungry. He enjoyed being at home with his fur babies, Otis, Stella Mae & Phillip, target shooting, tending to his gardens and hanging out with his friends & family. He loved his time fishing in local ponds & rivers with his friends or his new passion of saltwater fishing at Cape Cod with his girlfriend Amy.
Sean was a true friend, who always had a smile on his face, he was kind, generous, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He inspired others around him to always have fun, yet to always do their best. Sean was loved by so many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Sean is survived by his loving mother; Sandy of Easthampton, his girlfriend; Amy (Baceski) Barnes of Westhampton, and her children Sam and Emma, his sister; Heidi McGuire of Easthampton and her partner Tim, his brother; Chad and his niece; Marley, his nephews; Remy and Theo, and many more family and dear friends.
Calling hours will be Sunday February 21st from 12-2PM at DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME of Northampton. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be at a later date when it is safe to do.
