Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sara Gomez Noriega died peacefully at her home in Oxnard. Sara was 86 years young. Sara resided in Oxnard from 1960-present.
Sara was born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico on March 4, 1934. Sara was married in Mexicali, Mexico January 21, 1953, to Oscar Noriega. They were blessed to spend the next 67 years together. Sara was a long time parishioner of Santa Clara Church for many, many years. Her husband Oscar was a professional truck driver and Sara was a home maker. Sara and her husband Oscar dedicated their lives to provide a good life for their daughter (Sarah) and son (Oscar).
Sara and her husband Oscar moved to California in 1960 in search of a better life for their children and the promise of a more secure work for her husband Oscar.
Sara is survived by her husband Oscar, and children Sarah (Hiram) Juarez of Goleta and Oscar (Crystal) Noriega of Camarillo. Sara is also survived by her grandchildren David Noriega, Kyla Noriega and Daniel Noriega and one great-grandchild Mateo Sebastian Noriega. Sara is also survived by her two older brothers, Henry and Salvador Gomez.
Sara was a very giving person that God put on this earth to make it a little better for all that had the opportunity to meet her. Sara always loved to get a hug from all of her family and friends. She was very soft spoken and exceptionally compassionate woman. Once you had the opportunity to meet Sara, you would never forget her very gentle character. Sara has now transitioned to the other side to meet her Lord and Savior, and we have no doubt she will become one of God's very special Angels that will be there to lend a helping hand to others that may need assistance making their transition from this earth.
Sara will always be with everyone that loved her, because they will forever carry a piece of Sara in their souls!
