Sandra Carden Smith, 79, of Granville County passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Durham Regional Hospital in Durham.
Sandra was born in Durham County to the late Rufus Milton Carden and Marie Fletcher. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and worked as a teacher's assistant with Granville County Public Schools for twenty years.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church officiated by Reverend David Herman. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-eight years, Johnny Rogers Smith; her daughter, Kim Smith of Timberlake; her son, Jeff Smith of Timberlake and several aunts, uncles and special cousins.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1622 E. Parham Rd., Richmond, VA 23228.
