Sandra Kay Ishimoto
Sandy was my love, my life, my partner, & my better half.
Sandra Kay Ishimoto was born August 1, 1952 to Robert and Lois Yager in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from Lincoln HIgh School in 1970. She wanted to discover a bigger picture of the world and headed to Chicago. After a few years, she dreamed of moving to a warmer climate and moved to Los Angeles. She landed a job at Marantz and worked herself up to a position as product coordinator where I started working as a product manager. During her tenure at Marantz, we fell in love and married in 1983. Sandy encouraged me to start Northridge Electronics. We started as a consulting company developing products like waterproof FM radio headband for swimmers and Video Trivia, which is a VHS tape based trivia game. We also launched our service business into stereo, cordless phones, satellite receivers and car stereos. Then we invested in real estate. She always believed that as long as we had each other, there's nothing that we couldn't accomplish. She left that legacy in Greg and Gary. Greg is now a doctor and is Chief of Staff at a hospital in Northern California. Gary is in his last year of Law School at Pepperdine. It's a shame that Sandy could not see Gary graduate and become an attorney. I am so thankful that Sandy was able to see all her brothers and sisters before she passed away. Sandy died at home on May 23, 2019 from cancer. I will miss her beautiful blue eyes and the kiss she gave me every morning to start the day.
