Sandra Lee Fromknecht, 77, of East New Market, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at her home. Born September 7, 1945, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Leo Pancratius Fromknecht and Effie Elizabeth Scott Fromknecht.
She was a Lifetime Girl Scout and was a manager of Coast Guard Federal Credit Union, retiring in 2012. She was member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and was a past member of the parish council where she served as finance officer.
She is survived by three children, Kimberly Mannion Kovacs and her husband Lawrence, Jr. of Baltimore, Tiffanie Mannion Chandler and husband Al of Delmar, MD and Thomas Michael Mannion, Jr. of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, Lauren Downes and husband Frank, Lawrence Kovacs III, Morgan Chandler, Kelsey Chandler, Thomas M. Mannion III, Victoria Mannion, and Daniel Mannion; three great grandchildren; her fianc?, Howard Cogle of East New Market, his two sons, David Cogle and wife Cortney and Kurt Cogle and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Kyle Cogle, Viviane Cogle, and Allison Cogle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market where a prayer service will be held 7:00PM.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge where a funeral service will be held at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
