Sandy worked for Xerox Corporation for 27 years and transferred to EDS for an additional 5 years when a contract was won by the company to manage the Xerox computer networks. She was a Computer Network Manager and managed numerous teams. She loved her job.
Sandy and John moved to The Villages permanently in October, 1999. She retired from the Village Voices after 10 years, loved volunteering with over 2000 hours first at the hospital and then Ye Olde Thrift Shoppe. Most of all she loved her mahjong groups playing twice a week. One group since 2001! She will dearly miss them and all her wonderful neighbors.
Services will be held at a later date. Sandy died of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, an incurable and nasty lung disease. Contributions can be made in her honor to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611-3201 or online at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
