Samuel J. Wise

Samuel James Wise, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center.

Born November 3, 1936, in Lansdale, PA, he was the son of the late John E. and Mae W. (Kenderdine) Wise. Samuel was the loving husband of the late Eleanor M. (Martin) Wise with whom he shared 35 years of marriage until her passing on July 25, 2019.

Samuel was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.

Samuel worked for Hercules, Inc. in Delaware for 34 years as a Lab Tech until his retirement in 1996.

Samuel was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served his country proudly from 1957 to 1962.

Samuel enjoyed golfing and wood carving ducks and birds.

Samuel is survived by his son, Steven Wise of Newark, DE, two brothers, Frank Wise and Timothy Wise, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emory, Elnora, Dorothy, Grace, and Barbara.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
