Samuel Daniel Page, 88, of Willis, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021. He was born on October 19, 1932, in Fairmont, North Carolina to the late Ezra Page and Ada Horne Page Cromartie.
Sam was a graduate of Fairmont High School and served in the Korean War. He was a talented musician and singer. Sam played the guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica and piano. He also owned and operated Borski's Tavern in Willis for many years. Sam started a band called "Borski's Bandits" which was highlighted on The Eyes of Texas. He also loved the country and being outdoors with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay Page in 2010, a daughter, Linda Eversole, sister Mary Sellers, and his brothers, Ezra "Junior" Page and David Page.
Samuel leaves behind his DAUGHTERS, Cindy Uhlenhop and husband David, Teena Trahan and husband Douglas, and Cheryl Gazda; GRANDCHILDREN, Amy Lewis and husband Vance, Sarah Czervinske and husband Stephen, Lindsey Reed and husband Justin, Eric Gazda, and Emily Trahan; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, Joshua Uhlenhop, Brianna Uhlenhop, Noah Czervinske, Oliva Czervinske, Connor Reed, Claire Reed, Rebecca Reddin and husband Jordan, Chance Lewis, Andrew Lewis, and one GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILD, Noel Reddin.
Funeral services will be held at Cashner Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 with entombment to follow in the Garden Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Cindy Uhlenhop will officiate. Pallbearers will be David Uhlenhop, Douglas Trahan, Vance Lewis, Stephen Czervinske, Justin Reed and Eric Gazda. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service begins at 2:00 p.m.
