Samuel Charles Armstrong, 91, of Somerset, died Mar. 15, 2021 at UPMC Somerset. Born Feb. 7, 1930 in Pittsburgh, son of Mary (Armstrong) Bell. Preceded in death by grandparents who raised him Alvin and Ida Armstrong, parents, wife the former Lois Keirn, son Wade, brother Byron Armstrong, and sister-in-law Polly Bell. Survived by children: Kaylyn married to Michael Brant, Sipesville, Keith married to the former Lori Heist, Johnstown, Lance married to the former Donna Reasner, Muncy; grandchildren: Jason (Erin) and Bryan (Charlotte) Brant, Rebecca (Matthew) Bennett, and Emily, Liam, Jonathan, and Andrew Armstrong; great grandchildren: Olivia Wilkerson and Reilly Brant; brother David Bell; and Wade's fianc?e Gloria Slifco. He was a graduate of Somerset High School, a Korean War Army Veteran, and co-owner of A & R Business Products, Johnstown. Member and past commander of Somerset American Legion Post 181. Also a member of Somerset V.F.W. and Somerset Co. Military Family Support Group. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Masks and social distancing are required. A private family service will be live streamed on the Deaner Funeral Home Facebook Page at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Sharon Fox officiating.
