Sam Arden passed away on September 15th, 2024 surrounded by his family and friends. A loving father, son and a dear friend will be greatly missed.
Sam was born April 13, 1970 in Atlanta, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth G. (Betty) Arden. Sam graduated from Wheeler High School in 1988, he received his B.A. in History, cum laude, from Tulane University in 1992 and was a member (and Treasurer) of the Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike) fraternity.
He also earned his J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law in 1996, where he graduated cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Sam won the award as the Georgia Rising Star for Business Litigation in 2009 and 2010 as published in Georgia Super Lawyers and Atlanta Magazine.
Sam began his legal career at the Atlanta firm of Webb, Carlock, Copeland, Semler & Stair in 1996 and then was a partner with the firm of Hartman, Simons and Wood until 2018. Sam then started his own firm Arden Law specializing in real estate law.
Sam loved spending time and doing activities with his three amazing children, Grant, Caroline and Charlotte, watching and going to Atlanta Braves games and enjoyed playing golf as a member of the Cherokee Town and Country Club.
The Funeral will be Thursday, September 19th at 2pm at St. James United Methodist Church on Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Buckhead. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. James United Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice.
