Sammy Druggish Jr

Sammy Druggish Jr., age 80, from Navarre, Florida, passed away Wednesday September 20, 2023.

Born January 7, 1943, in Bartley, West Virgina to the late Sammy Druggish Sr, and Mabel (Rowe) Druggish.

Sammy Jr. attended Big Creek High School and shortly after joined the Army where he went to Germany to work in the Auto pool. He then returned to the states and met and married the late Ruth Anne (Freeman). Sammy also owned and operated Druggish Vinyl Siding for 23 years and remained involved in business while caring for his wife. Sammy also played softball while living in Maryland and Ohio. Sammy wore many hats in his life from little league coach to grounds keeper in the initial stages of what is now the NYSA. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sharing that love with his sons and the members of the Hackers Group.

Sammy is preceded in death by parents, Sammy and Mabel Druggish; his wife of 45 years at the time of her passing, Ruth Anne (Freeman); brothers, Earnest Druggish and Nicky Druggish.

He is survived by his children, Dawn Gostomski, David Druggish (Julie), and Stefan Druggish (Alicia); seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family would like to acknowledge his longtime friend and confidant Lynn Pouge, she was his friend and the bond they had was special. The many builders that helped him start his construction company and even keep the business thriving.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2023, at Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel, 7794 Navarre Parkway Navarre, Florida 32566, with visitation from 11:00am-12:00pm and service starting 12:00pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life fish fry at his home.
