Sammie Bedwell Setliff, 50, of Lockney passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Northwest Church of Christ with Ty Fleming and Kerry Jones officiating. A private burial will be held before the service. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Home of Plainview.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.
Sammie was born June 2, 1971, in Plainview, Texas to Gerald and Sherri Bedwell. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1989. Sammie married Craig Setliff on December 29, 1990, in Plainview, Texas. Her top priority was being a wife, mother, and faithful servant of her church, Northwest Church of Christ, and community. She worked as a Travel Agent for Travel World for a couple of years and then worked as an Admin Assistant for the Communications Department at West Texas A&M University. She worked for Mangold Memorial Hospital, then as a teachers aid for several years at different ISD's following her husband's changes. Sammie worked as a Administrative Assistant in Lockney for twelve years at Lockney Independent School District. Besides her gift of service, she was an avid traveler and amazing scrapbooker and loved playing games.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Setliff of Lockney, Texas; one son, Stephen Setliff of Levelland, Texas; one daughter, Lyndee Setliff of Canyon, Texas; her parents, Gerald and Sherri Bedwell of Plainview, Texas; two sisters, Shelly Hanes and husband Chris of Amarillo, Texas, and Sheryl Jones and husband Kerry of Canyon, Texas; one brother, Larry Bedwell and wife Renee of Canyon, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and greats who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, and a sister-in-law, Meagan Bedwell.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent in memory of Sammie to the Northwest Church of Christ Evangelist Fund, 2000 N. I-27, Plainview, Texas 79072.
