Sally K. (Christy) Zimmerman of Minnetonka passed away suddenly on January 19, 2022. Though born in Aberdeen, Washington, she grew up on a farm near Eau Claire, Wisconsin. With a strong work ethic and a drive for learning, she attended business college before moving on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in sociology and minors in psychology and biostatistics. She worked for many years for the state of MN in the departments of retirement and rehabilitation as a counseling supervisor. She had a strong sense of community and was a volunteer for many causes, including the Session of St Luke Presbyterian Church in Wayzata, MN. Wishing to use her gift for numbers, she became a certified public accountant at the age of 50, thereafter helping numerous people with their taxes. She continued to be a source of wisdom, caring, and light for family, friends and neighbors. She is survived by her husband, Robert, sons Todd (Marlann) and Ethan, grandson Liam, brother Alan, and countless family and friends.
The family will hold a celebration of life for her in the spring.
