92, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2022, in Tampa, FL. Born on May 15, 1930, in Lakeland, FL to the late William and Margaret Skipper, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Joseph E. Peel, her brother, William Skipper and her son, William S. Peel. Sally was a graduate of Florida State University, receiving her teaching degree in elementary education and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Florida State University is also where she met her beloved husband, Joe. They were married in 1952, residing in Tampa and had three children: Larry, Billy, and Patty. Joe and Sally were members of the Timuquanians, the wife of past potentate, Egypt Shrine Temple where they traveled to countries all over the world, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Asia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, and Spain. Sally was active in Tampa playing league volleyball, Davis Island tennis, and enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends. She especially loved all her beach friends at Redwoods Condominium and visiting there on the weekends. Sally was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church delivering alter flowers to members that were sick. She resided at Brookdale Bayshore where she served on the Council Board and made many new friends, and was cared for by the countless team members who she dearly loved as her "Brookdale Family". Sally lived a long, beautiful, and adventurous life full of family, love, and purpose. She will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her, but especially by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Joseph Lawrence Peel (Abby), Patty Peel Crumpton (Charles), grandchildren, Joey Peel, Mikel Peel, Claire Hudson (Ryan), Charles Crumpton, III (Jade),
Wendy Bartlett (Philip), Misty Hilderbrand, Stacy Beck (Brian), Daniel Wynne (Nicole),
Jack Wynne and 12 great-grandchildren. Sally's family would like to thank her personal caregivers Ivana Small, Corin, Eileen, & Lauren and their team for all the love and support over the last year. The family would also like to thank the Hospice Garnett team for the wonderful care provided to Sally in her last few weeks. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Brewer & Sons Funeral Home, 3328 S. Dale Mabry. A funeral service will take place at St. John's Episcopal Church, 902 S. Orleans Avenue at 10:00 am on July 15. A private graveside service will follow at Garden of Memories. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607, or St. John's Episcopal Church.
