Sally Jane Brondsema, 77, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at Palisade Manor Nursing Home with her daughter, Angela by her bed side.
Sally Jane Pedersen, daughter of Jens and Alice (Bullis) Pedersen was born April 16, 1945 in Arlington SD. She grew up on the family farm near Arlington and moved to Canton, SD where she graduated from Canton High School.
Sally was united in marriage with Roger Schlader in 1963. To this union the couple had three children, Angela, Michele and Daniel. The couple later divorced. She was united in marriage with Sid Brondsema in 1995.
Sally worked various jobs over the years before becoming Deputy Treasurer of Beadle County and lived in Huron, SD. When she retired from the Treasures office she moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she worked at Voyage Credit Union.
Sally enjoyed watching TV, (Twins Baseball) and the Game Show Network. She enjoyed to staying home and sitting by her pond. She loved visits from friends or go out and visit friends. Sid and Sally also enjoyed traveling all over the United States in his semi and spending time with family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her two daughters, Angela (Wade) Mulder, Michele Stuckey; nine grandchildren, Whitney Wilken, Wade Wilken, Avalon Wilken, Mercedes (Chris) Knudson, Garrison Mulder, Shaniah Stuckey, Kolton Stuckey, Brenden Schlader, Brayden Schlader; four great grandchildren, Ayla Knudson, Arnold Knudson, Karson Stuckey, Easton Wilken; three siblings, Arlen (Blanca) Pedersen, David (Edie) Pedersen and Keith Pedersen.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sid; son Daniel Schlader; grandson, TJ Stuckey; three sisters, Alona Foster, Elnor Madsen, Carol Carter; three siblings in infancy and dog Sparky.
Memorials may be directed to Good News Reformed Church in honor of Sally Brondsema.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Good News Reformed Church. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, from 2:00-4:00pm with a time of sharing at 3:30pm at Heritage Funeral Home with family present to greet friends. Internment will be at a later date.
