Sally Bosnik September 7, 1961 - July 2, 2022 State College, Pennsylvania - Sarah Marguerite ("Sally") Bosnik, 60, of State College, died unexpectedly in her home on July 2, 2022. Born September 7, 1961, in St. Marys, PA, she was the daughter of James Robert Bosnik and Esther Spence Bosnik. Sally graduated in 1979 from Cameron County High School in Emporium, PA, where she was active in many clubs and team sports. She continued her education at Penn State, where she earned a B.S. in Marketing in 1983. Sally worked at Emporium Country Club throughout her school years and was a talented golfer, winning the Ladies' Club Championship in 1981 and 1982. She returned to school several years later to earn a degree in Civil Engineering Technology at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Sally spent most of her adult life as a resident of State College, where she worked as a travel agent, a civil engineering technologist, and an administrative aide for Penn State. She had a lifelong love of the university and was an avid Penn State fan. Although she made her home in State College, Sally cherished her Emporium roots and maintained close ties with both towns and with her many hometown and college friends. Sally was an active member of the Harris Township Lions Club, which has honored her with a Melvin Jones Fellowship. She was a dedicated supporter of Centre County PAWS animal shelter, from which she adopted her beloved cats Latte and Bobby. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by one brother, James R. (Sandra R.) Bosnik of Temecula, California. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life gathering will be planned for later this year. Contributions in Sally's memory may be made to the Harris Township Lions Club (PO Box 438, Boalsburg, PA 16827) or Centre County PAWS (1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801 or online).
